If you want to see watches in Lisbon, Avenida da Liberdade is the easiest place to compare several brands on one walk. The important distinction is between a brand boutique, an authorised retailer that carries several brands, and a seller of pre-owned watches. They may offer different stock, appointment and after-sales arrangements. Check a particular model with the store before making a special journey; a brand appearing in a window does not mean that every reference is available to buy.
Brand boutiques on the avenue
At Avenida da Liberdade 12, the Breitling Boutique Lisbon is listed by the brand as an official boutique. The IWC Schaffhausen Boutique is at number 117; IWC's store page describes browsing and purchasing its collection there. At number 159, the Rolex Boutique Torres Joalheiros is an official Rolex retailer and lists watch servicing through the brand's network.
Farther along, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Boutique is listed by the brand at Avenida da Liberdade 225/225 A. The Cartier Boutique Lisboa is at number 240 and lists a watchmaking workshop among its services. These are addresses from the brands' own store locators, checked in October 2026; use those pages to confirm today's hours and whether an appointment is useful.
The avenue is long enough that it helps to choose a few stops in advance. Open an Avenida da Liberdade map and begin at the end closest to your hotel or Metro stop. A trip to the avenue is also easy to combine with Restauradores, Chiado or Príncipe Real, but do not plan a tightly timed appointment around a walk that includes Lisbon's hills.
Multi-brand and pre-owned: what is different?
Boutique dos Relógios Plus has a store at Avenida da Liberdade 129, listed in the IWC authorised-retailer locator. Unlike a single-brand boutique, it presents several watchmakers. The retailer also describes a pre-owned and vintage collection with inspected, authenticated pieces and its own guarantee. Ask which watches are actually in the Lisbon store and whether a specific piece can be viewed by appointment; online listings and shop stock can differ.
For a new Rolex, use the brand's official retailer locator, not a pre-owned listing, to establish the store's status. A pre-owned watch can have a retailer's guarantee without being part of a manufacturer's certified pre-owned programme. If certification or official service matters to you, ask exactly who provides it and get the terms in writing.
Before you visit or buy
Contact the store about the model, reference, availability and appointment. Ask for the invoice, warranty terms and the route for future service. For pre-owned pieces, also ask about condition, replaced parts, provenance, return terms and who authenticated the watch. Do not infer a price or waiting time from another buyer's experience: stock changes quickly and boutiques may not publish live availability.
This guide identifies places to start, not a recommendation to buy a particular watch or a claim that we have inspected their stock. If you are combining shopping with sightseeing, our Chiado neighbourhood guide and Lisbon transport guide can help plan the rest of your day.
